als ich neulich mein posting über unseren muttertags-abend im ALTEN MÄDCHEN schrieb, hatte ich ja schon angekündigt, dass ich ungedingt das nächste mal den HALLO FRAU NACHBAR nachbarschaftsmarkt im SCHANZENVIERTEL besuchen wollte. der findet immer am ersten sonntag des monats im gemeinsamen innenhof des alten mädchens und der ratsherrenbrauerei statt, also war es dieses wochenende soweit! der hamburger sommer legte zwar just an dem tag eine kleine fröstelpause ein, aber der allgemein sonnigen laune tat das trotzdem keinen abbruch.
if you read my posting about our mother’s day eating out at ALTES MÄDCHEN the other day, you know that i wanted to go and visit the the next HALLO FRAU NACHBAR neigborhood market. it takes place first sunday of the month and it is located in the courtyard of the altes mädchen restaurant and the ratsherren brewery. so this weekend it was one of those sundays! unfortunately the hamburg summer weather took a little chilly break but that couldn’t keep us from having a good time.
so futterten wir uns durch das repertoire der lokalen leckereien… scharfes chili von CASITA OCHACA, yummy burger von BURGER LAB, deftige gemüsetarte von der TARTERIE ST. PAULI, saftigen karottenkuchen von HAPPENPAPPEN und zwischendurch den leckersten latte von PUBLIC COFFEE ROASTERS. hungrig musste hier auf jeden fall keiner bleiben.
we noshed ourselves through the repertoire of local deliciousness… spicy chili from CASITA OCHACA, yummy burger from BURGER LAB, savory vegetable tarte from TARTERIE ST. PAULI, jucy carrot cake from HAPPENPAPPEN and in between we had the most awesome latte from PUBLIC COFFEE ROASTERS. no way that anyone stayed hungry here.
aber bei HALLO FRAU NACHBAR trifft man nicht nur die geballte, lokale kulinarik sondern auch die kreative designer-nachbarschaft. selbstgemachtes und handgefertigtes lädt zum kleinen sonntags-shopping ein, es gibt ein kleines kinderprogram und live musik. ganz ehrlich, so könnte ich gern öfter als einmal im monat meinen sonntag verbringen.
but besides all that local culinary, you can also find creative handmade stuff in the neighborhood of HALLO FRAU NACHBAR. a great chance to do a little sunday shopping directly from the designers. moreover teh market provides a little kids area and awesome live musiv as well. i really could have all this more often than once a month.
falls die herren der schöpfung noch für einen besuch überzeugt werden müssen, zieht übrigens garantiert das locken mit dem CRAFT BEER STORE, wo man sich durch über 300 craft biere aus den mikrobrauereien aller welt stöbern kann. eine beratung vom bier-sommelier gibt es gratis dazu. der beweis… wir trafen die liebe nina {HEDI NÄHT} samt familie und sie instagrammte kurze zeit später ihren mann mit herrenhandtasche. alles klar!? aber natürlich haben auch wir eingekauft.
if you still have to convince the hubby or the boyfriend to go, you should note that the CRAFT BEER STORE is open at market time. there you can choose from over 300 craft beers from worldwide micro breweries. and you get a free recommendation directly from a beer sommelier. couldn’t be better, huh? here’s the proof that it works… we met nina {HEDI NÄHT} and her lovely family. a little while later she instagrammed a picture of the man with murse. all right!? but we surely did some beer shopping as well.
FRAU NACHBAR, wir mögen dich total und kommen im juli gern wieder. dann bitte mit blauem himmel, ja? wenn’s damit nicht klappt, auch egal. wir kommen trotzdem.
FRAU NACHBAR, we really like you and we’ll be back in july. make sure so have some blue sky then. but however…we will come anyway.
P.S. wenn ihr selbst mal vorbeischauen wollt… die nächsten HALLO FRAU NACHBAR termine sind am 6. juli, 3. august und am 7. september in den schanzenhöfen, lagerstraße 30a, hamburg. aber hallo! mehr HAMBURG-TIPPS von mir gib’ts immer hier!
