entgegen meiner befürchtungen ließ sich die patchworkdecke mit dem DREIECKSmuster ganz toll quilten! yay. ich habe keine ahnung, ob es das muster war [letzendich hatte ich nur diagonalen zu nähen] oder aber das material nur extrem entgegenkommend. ist aber auch egal… es war auf jeden fall eine freude. ungelogen!
quilting things are moving forward. despite all my fears the TRIANGLE blanket was quite easy to quilt! yay. i don’t know if it was the pattern [after all there were only diagonals to sew] or the cooperative material. but anyway… it was a pleasure to sew. no lie!
ich muss allerdings sagen, dass ich zum unterfüttern auch kein klassisches volumenvlies nehme. schon bei luzies PIMPIPÄTSCHWORK decke habe ich einfach ein flauschiges mikro-fleece auf die rückseite genäht. ich finde, dass normales vlies die decken manchmal so sperrig macht, was ich nicht so sehr mag. mit dem flausch-fleece ist die decke wirklich schon griffig, die dicke ist perfekt und die rückseite ist für einen frostködel wie mich so schön kuschelig.
i must say that i didn’t use a classic volumimous interface tough. again i chose a cozy micro fleece for the back of the quilt, like i did before when i was sewing luzies PIMPIPÄTSCHWORK blanket. i often find a conventional inlay to “bulky” and i really like a thinner, more soft backing. i love the mirco-fleece back because it’s light and cozy.
aber jetzt ist erst nochmal nähpause. das einfassen des rands, also das binding heißt es, glaube ich, verschiebe ich auf nächste woche. das finde ich echt lästig… aber wat mutt dat mutt. und dann kann ich euch hoffentlich bald die ganz und gar fertige decke zeigen.
bis dahin habt ein schönes wochenende! ich sage jetzt mal nichts dazu, dass es draußen schon wieder wirterlich ungemütlich wird… seufz.
but now i’m taking another sewing break. the binding will have to wait until next week. for me this ist the most bothering part… but anyway, someone has to do it, right? so i hope to be able to show the completed and finished quilt very soon.
