Ihr lieben, ich lasse euch fürs Wochenende noch ein kleines, simples Upcycling DIY da, das so fix geht, dass es zwischen zwei Regenpausen bei diesem verrückten Wetter passt und das garantiert Frühlingslaune macht.

Ihr denkt es euch sicher… dieses schnieke Stiftebecher-Ensemble waren mal drei ordinäre Blechdosen. Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich sie mit rosa Lack angesprüht. Außerdem habe ich einen Leder-Streifen zugeschnitten, so dass er mit einer leichten Überlappung um die drei Dosen gelegt werden kann. Das Lederband habe ich mit frühlingsfrischem TRIANGLE Webband benäht, noch einmal stramm gespannt an den Dosenumfang angepasst und dann mit ein paar Stichen zum Ring geschlossen.

Zu guter letzt, habe ich als hingucker noch einen Knopf aufgenäht und das Lederband über die drei Dosen gezogen… FERTIG!

Was auch immer ihr so vorhabt… ich wünsche euch ganz viel Spaß am wochenende!

normalerweise lässt der frühling ja sein blaues band durch die lüfte flattern… nun, mir sind pastellige farben und geometrische muster noch viel lieber!
according to a poem by eduard mörike spring usually lets it’s blue ribbon flutter through the air… well, i rather prefer pastell tones and geometric patterns!

wir warten auf den sommer

we’re waiting for the summer
… also eigentlich wir alle, oder? zumindest hier im norden der republik. bisher bin ich eher enttäuscht von der jahreszeitlichen performance. die beiden hier warten auch auf den sommer… die wollen sich auf der wiese in der sonne drehen, im eiscafé sitzen und auf der piazza schlendern. 
… well, we all are waiting for the summer, don’t we? at least at the northern parts of germany. i must admit, i’m quite disapointed of the season’s performance so far. these two are waiting for summer, too… they want to twirl on green grass in the sunlight, to sit at the ice café and stroll down the piazza.
 

das können sie bald. aber sie müssen wohl noch bis zum urlaub warten, die beiden LORELEIs. ich kann es kaun erwarten, zu sehen, sie alles tun werden…

they will soon. but these two LORELEIs will probably have to wait for our holidays. can’t wait to see what they will be doing …

you can never have enough handbags

als ich den ersten meter CHIRP ORNAMENTS in den händen hielt, hatte ich direkt die vision einer chirpigen FLORABELLAtasche. wer mich schon länger kennt, der weiß, dass ich mich eigentlich lieber ums tasch-nähen drücke, aber den schnitt von andrea {JOLIJOU} liebe ich wirklich… vielleicht weil er so schön unkompliziert ist, dass sogar ich ein respektables modell hinbekomme! ;) außerdem mag ich, dass die tasche innen so schön geräumig ist und sie außen schon viele möglichkeiten zum kombinieren von verschiedenen stoffen, zum verzieren mit bändern und zum besticken bietet.

when i held the first meter of CHIP ORNAMENTS in my hands i immediately had the vision of a FLORABELA handbag. if you know me for a while you already know that sewing handbags is not my favorite, but i really love this pattern by andrea {JOLIJOU}. i guess i love it, because it is so easy to sew that even i can do it with respectable results! ;) besides that i totally like that the bag is so amply (or do you say roomy? sorry, i don’t know) inside and it offers a lot of possibilities for combining different fabric patterns, embroidery and ribbons on the outside.

die tasche ist übrigens ein geschenk für einen lieben menschen… aber *pssssssst*, nicht weitersagen! lieben dank auch an euch für euer bisheriges feedback zum stoff. es freut mich sehr, dass er offensichtich vielen von euch gefällt.
P.S. bestickt ist die tasche mit dem großen motiv aus der MATRUSCHKA PIMPINELLSKOVA serie und die kleinen baumelvögelchen sind eine in-the-hoop-stickerei aus der LOVECHIRP serie.
this bag will be a gift for a beloved person… but *shhhhhh*… please don’t tell! and let me thank you for your sweet feedback on my new fabric. i’m happy that so many of you like it.
P.S. the used embroidery is the large lovebirds appliqué from the MATRUSCHKA PIMPINELLSKOVA series and the small hanging birds are made using the in-the-hoop-embroidery from the LOVECHIRP series.

charms, bags an other pretty girls stuff
ich war in letzter zeit sehr fleißig und habe noch soviel zu zeigen… also macht euch auf ein etwas längeres posting inklusive SHOPupdate gefasst….
i’ve been busy as a bee lately and i still got so much to show… so you better prepare for a long posting with lots of girls stoff, SHOP update included…
es baumelt neuerdings ganz üppig an meiner lieblingstasche…
i recently got some pretty handmade stuff dangling at my favorite bag…
… denn zu dem pompom-anhänger, den ich schon eine weile mit mir herumtrage, ist nun auch die kleine LULU SCHUUU hinzugekommen sowie eine gestickte eichel auf edlem wollfilz von MYMAKI. ein paar LULUs wie diese wandern später heute noch ins SHÖPchen… wer sie lieber selbst sticken mag, findet sie seit heute bei HUUPS als stickdatei. 
the pompom charm i’ve been carrying now for a while got some sweet company lately. i made one LULU SCHUUU owl and an acorn embroidered on wool felt from MYMAKI. i made some more of these to list’em at my little SHOP later today. if you want to make a LULU yourself you can find the embroidery file at HUUPS as of today. 
die tolle senfgelbe fototasche von PHOTOQUEEN habe ich jetzt übrigens schon eine weile im gebrauch. sie hat sich wunderbar auf meinen fototouren bewährt und ich bin wirklich begeistert. 
by the way i have been using my awesome mustard yellow photo bag from PHOTOQUEEN for a while now. it is such a useful and pretty companion on my photo walks, i’m really pleased to have it.

wie gesagt… ich war fleißig und ich kann die nicht alle selbst tragen. ;)

well, as i said… i have been busy making stuff and i just can’t keep it all for myself. ;)

also kommen hier noch ein paar schätzchen aus meinen scheinbar unerschöpflichen KOFFERvorräten… LIEBLINGSreisetäschen im indian summer look und CUFFs in aktuellen lieblingsfarben… 
so here i have some darlings from my seemingly unexhaustable TRUNK stocks… some favorite travel pouches in indian summer look and some CUFFs in favorite colors…

… or the cuff with an ACORN embroidery on rough and rustic fabric.
und zu guter letzt… ab heute ist dann auch endlich LILU CHIPMUNK am laufenden meter als webband zu haben! ich freu mich sehr.
so… jetzt will ich mich mal um das letzte große SHOPupdate dieses jahres kümmern, dass ich für 20:00 uhr geplant habe… vielleicht entdeckt ihr ja auch noch das ein oder andere last-minute weihnachtsgeschenk. ich bitte um verständnis, dass ich vor dem fest dann leider nichts mehr nachproduzieren kan… es gilt also “solange der vorrat reicht”. ;)
last but not least…  the LILU CHIPMUNK ribbon finally is avaible. i’m all happy to have it on stock now. 
well ok… i’m going to work on the last SHOP update of the year now, which i planned for about 8 o’clock… maybe you’ll find some last-minute christmas gift. thank you for your understanding, that i’m not able to take any custom orders before christmas anymore…. sorry. it’s only while stocks last.

for serious tree huggers and those of you who want to become one… the TREEHUGGER ribbon is like a little forest “en miniature”.
 
außerdem… weil es so wunderschön ist (ich wünschte, das design wäre von mir! *lach*) und man gute wünsche ja nie genug haben kann… die farbenmix WISHES jetzt auch bei mir zu haben.
ich wünsche euch ganz viel freude beim vernähen.
furthermore… just because i love it so much (so much i wished it was my design! ;) and because one can never ever have enough good wishes… i also added the farbenmix WISHES to my selection of ribbons.

tasche für kleine baum-umarmerinnen

die aufmerksame blogleserin weiß ja längst… dass frau pimpinella eine tasche näht, kommt nicht ganz so häufig vor. schon allein, weil das so lange dauert, also bei mir. aber das fräulein wünschte sich schon so lange eine selbstgenähte, da dann…
the observant blog reader already know that mrs. pimpinalla and sewing handbags is a kind of sporadical relationship. i just don’t like how long it takes me (seems only me!) to make one, but the little fräulein wished for one, so…
mit dem gratis freeBOOK “ALLES DRIN” von farbenmix (hier geht’s zum download) hätte das auch wunderbar schnell gehen könne, wenn ich nicht immer so viel zeit mit der stoffaufwahl und tüddelei verbringen würde. mal abgesehen von der ewigen sucherei in meinem nähzimmer-chaos. öhem.

EDIT: ich habe die kleine ALLES DRIN-variante genäht und die nochmal um 10% verkleinert… so finde ich die größe perfekt für luzie.

 it could have been such a quick project using the freeBOOK “ALLES DRIN” ba farbenmix (free pattern download here, available in german, dutch and english) because it’s easily to sew. but i can spend hours pondering about fabric combos and notions, not mentioning all the searching for stuff in my chaos studio. ahem.

EDIT: i chose the small ALLES DRIN model for luzie and scaled it down 10% while printing… it fits perfectly.

die bänderauswahl fiel dieses mal wenigstens nicht schwer… natürlich sollten da die neuen drauf:CHIRPY FRIENDS und TREEHUGGER. die sind ab morgen dann auch endlich zu haben :). 
bei der aufteilung hatte ich mich ein bisschen verschätzt, deswegen war für einen gestickten treehugger schriftzug kein platz mehr. deswegen habe ich mit einem stückchen stoff, buchstabenstempeln und textil-stempelkissen (beides von PEPPauf) kurzerhand einen aufnäher improvisiert. zusammen mit dem yoyo und knopf gefällt mir das sogar noch besser als ursprünglich geplant.
 at least the choice og ribbons was easy this time… i took the new ones: CHIRPY FRIENDS and TREEHUGGER. they will be available as of tomorrow :).
space was out of my estimation embroidering the front part, so i skipped the planned treehugger lettering and improvised this label instead. i took a fabric scrap, alphabet rubber stamps and a textile stamp pad (both from PEPPauf) for it. together with a yoyo and button i like it even more.
 gestickte bäumchen sollten natürlich auch drauf, die sind dann auch ab morgen ONLINE…  
the tree ebroidery was a must of course, they will be ONLINE as of tomorrow, too… 
 … und auf pompoms steht die kleine madame im moment mindestens ebenso wie ich, deshalb sind auch an der tasche welche.
 … the little one loves pompoms like i do, so i added some to the handbag.
also, die nächste baumumarmung erfolgt dann mit adäquatem büdel! :)
well, the next treehugging will be with an appropriate bag! :)

happy pop of orange!

die nachbarn denken sicherlich mal wieder, die frau pimpinella hat sie nicht mehr alle am lattenzaun… und schleppt bei dauernebeligem uzzelwetter die polstermöbel auf die terrasse. egal, wat mutt dat mutt und so wird aus ermagelung an tageslicht im haus eben draußen fotografiert. 
i bet the neighbors once more think that mrs. pimpinella is all nuts… she’s schlepping (i so love that this german word is assimilated into american language!!!) the furniture out onto the patio despite the unplasent fogginess. sorry, but i have to if i want to catch some ray of daylight these days.
denn ich wollte euch doch so gern meinen neuen alten sessel zeigen… ungefähr so alt wie ich selbst, ein echter siebziger, allerdings viel besser in schuss als ich selbst und ein auktionsschnäppchen. er hat noch einen zwilling und ich freu mich wie bolle darüber.
because i  wanted to introduce you to my new old chair… it’s quite as old as i am, a genuine 70s darling but in pretty much better shape than i am. it was a thrifty auction snap and it came with a twin. i’m so pleased to call’em mine now.
freude über ganz frisch selbstgenähtes gibt es auch noch… ein passendes kissen, ganz fix genäht aus winterlichem wollstoff und bunter baumwolle… verziert mit der eichel-appli aus der neuen LILU CHIPMUNK-stickserie, mit kleinen yoyos und vintage-knöpfen.
moreover i am smitten with my brandnew handmade pillow.. matching the chair… it’s sewn quickly from winterly wool fabric and colorful cottons… upgraded with the acorn appliqué from the new LILU CHIPMUNK embroidery file, yoyos and vintage buttons.
klar, dass er da gleich wieder seine nase reinstecken muss, der peppermann. wie immer nach der devise “mittendrin statt nur dabei”… ^^

bommelborte und bänder dürfen natürlich auch nicht fehlen…. hier nochmal die hamburger liebe DAISIES und…

… JA!!! die kleine LILU rennt am laufenden meter! ich brauche jetzt nicht noch mal zu sagen, wie sehr ich mich über die freue, oder? (*pssst* ich freu mich voll). nicht ganz so erfreulich ist, dass das streifenhörnchen etwas kapriziös ist und somit noch etwas auf sich warten lässt. das webband kommt erst beim übernächsten FARBENMIX update in den verkauf und dann auch in mein SHÖPchen.

aber VORfreude ist ja bekanntlich die schönste freude, nicht? ;)
… YES!!! little LILU is running by the yard! i guess i don’t have to repeat myself saying that i have a crush on her, right? (*shshhh* i’m all smitten!). the only thing unedifying is the fact, that she’s kind of capricious. so it will take a little more time until the ribbon will be available at FARBENMIX and my SHOP.
but isn’t anticipation the greatest pleasure? ;)

ganz schön viel geheimniskrämerei im hause pimpinella zur zeit. erst einmal durfte ich euch das DINGS in seinen details noch nicht zeigen… und jetzt musste ich das DINGS fotografieren, ohne dass die kleine dame des hause es mitbekommt, dabei handelt es sich nämlich schon um das erste handgemachte weihnachtsgeschenk…
so much secrets in the pimpinella home lately. first i had to hide the details of that THINGY from your eyes and now i had to make a secret shooting of the thingy, because it’s a christmas gift for my little one…

seltene spezies…

rare species…
das sind die pimpinellaEULEn am laufenden meter ja mittlerweile, nachdem sie schon lange nicht mehr produziert werden. beim aufräumen meines nähzimmers habe ich nun noch eine halbe rolle in orange gefunden!  
that’s what the pimpinellaOWLs by the running meter are. they have been discontinued quite some time ago, but now i found half a spool of the orange one while clearing up my sewing room!
ein paar meterchen hebe ich für mich selbst auf, aber der rest wandert gleich noch ins SHÖPchen für passionierte webbandsammler! es sind wirklich nur ein paar meter, es gilt also… solange der vorrat reicht. ;)
SORRY… bereits vergriffen!

i am going to keep some meters for myself, but the rest will be listed at my SHOP now for passionate ribbon collectors now! there are only some few meters left… so they’re up as long as stocks last only. ;)

frau pimpinella und schuhe, so weiß der geneigte blogleser längst, das ist schon eine ganz besondere LIEBE. 
mrs. pimpinella and shoes,  the longtime blog reader knows it already, that is a special kinda LOVE.

ihr könnt euch also vorstellen, dass frau pimpinella komplett aus dem häuschen ist, wenn einige ebenso schuhverrückte damen in london, new york oder sonstwo auf der welt mit einem kleinen stückchen pimpinella am hübschen fuß herumlaufen… mit einer schleife aus ihrem matruschka-vögelchen-webband!!! 

mein ganz lieber dank geht an ilka, die mich auf diese unglaublichen sandalen von IRREGULAR CHOICE gestupst hat! ich bin total verzückt…  
so you can imagine that mrs. pimpinella was completely beside herself, realizing that some shoe-crazy women in london, new york or wherever in the world are carrying a little piece of pimpinella at their pretty feet… a bow made of her matruschka bird ribbon!!!
i’d like to say thank you to ilka, who pointed these amazing sandals by IRREGULAR CHOICE out to me! i am just thrilled…

die liebe von NICHTengländern zu allem was ENGLISCH ist, ist ja auch hierzulande gar nicht so selten. außerdem werfen ja große ROYALE EREIGNISSE  ihre schatten voraus. also ich bin vorbereitet…
that’s the love of NONenglishwomen/men for everything that’s ENGLISH which is not that uncommon here. moreover one real huge ROYAL EVENT forshadows. well, i am prepared…

… denn wenn sich william & kate dann endlich ihr jawort zuhauchen, kann ich ganz gerührt in mein kissen weinen!
p.s. für alle, die von so einem königlichen brimborium”not so amused” sind, bleibt vielleicht der griff zu einem solchen praktischen gadget. *lach* ;)
… so i can weep tears of emotion into my pillow when william & kate finally will whisper their word of consent!

wie ich meiner mailbox schon entnehmen konnte, freuen sich einige von euch so richtig darüber!? ich auch!!! :) das pimpinell’sche VÖGELCHENband gibt’s ab sofort wieder in meinem SHOP und natürlich auch bei FARBENMIX!

wieder da…
back on stock…
… ein kleiner mokka passt doch fast immer, oder? das war zumindest die meinung von vielen, die das dunkelbraune pimpinellaPAISLEY webband offensichtlich vermissten, nachdem FARBENMIX es aus dem programm nahm. deshalb haben sich janina uns sabine doch entschlossen, es nun noch einmal zu produzieren! manchmal hilft wünschen eben…
das PAISLEYband in MOKKAbraun ist also ab sofort auch wieder in meinem SHÖPchen zu haben. ich freu mich!
… a little mocca is always nice, don’t you think? well, at least many of you seemed to think the same…  missing the dark brown pimpinellaPAISLEY ribbon when FARBENMIX ran out of it. so janina and sabine decided to reproduce it now!
i just relisted the PAISLEY ribbon in MOCCA brown again at my little SHOP! … yay!

ein kuscheliges iPod-heim…
a cozy iPod-home…
… hatte sich der lieblingsmann schon ganz lange gewünscht.
… was on hubby’s wish list for so long.

… inspiriert von dem filz täschchen für MP3 player aus MAKIs buch habe ich die größe etwas angepasst. dazu kam eine lasche aus schrägband, YOU ROCK webband und drücker, der das eiPödchen vorm rausrutschen sichert. ein bisschen zierde musste natürlich auch für ein männergeschenk her… ein knopf mit einem mini-SKULLI und die MUSIC-stickerei aus der TONI-serie von maki!
lieblingsmann = begeistert!

… it is inspired by a felt case for MP3 players in MAKI’s book. i customized the size of the case and added a flap with snap closure to safe the iPod from slipping out of the case. the flap is just a scrap of bias tape and a piece of YOU ROCK ribbon. even a man’s gift needs a little embellishment… i took a striped button to fix a tiny SKULLI and chose the MUSIC-embroidery from maki’s TONI-embroidery series!
hubby = hooked!
mrs. pimpi = happy!:)
