… arrived in tuscany.
ich glaube, ich hatte mich selten so sehr auf den sommerurlaub vorgefreut. nach der wirklich mickrigen performance dieses sommers und, gefühlt, unendlich vielen regentagen, sehnten wir uns noch mehr nach sonne als sonst. nach einer elend langen autofahrt (manche von euch haben uns ja von anfang an per instagram begleitet) dann rechtzeitig noch zur golden hour am bestimmungsort anzukommen und auch noch von unseren liebsten freunden erwartet zu werden, war also purer balsam für die seele.
die aussicht von unserem essplatz unter freiem himmel war wahrlich himmlisch, die doraden von erik, im schein der smartphone-taschenlampen-app gegrillt, auch. die tierische gesellschaft, die zum anwesen gehörte war absolut liebenswert sowie auch die wohnung, die unsere freunde gemietet hatten. schade, dass wir selbst im gleichen haus mit unserer wohnung keinen solchen glücksgriff getan hatten, das schlug doch etwas aufs gemüt. aber eigentlich war man ja doch fast nur draußen…
i think we were never ever anticitating our summer holidays so much. after summers quite poor performance and endless days of rain we were craving for sunshine. so no wonder it was instant balm for our souls to arrive just at the golden hour at our destination… after a long drive… welcomed by our best friends.
the view from our outdoor dining place was heavenly as well as erik’s gilthead seabreams grilled by the light of a smartphone flashlight app. the pet company that belonged to the estate was quite endearing and the accomodation of our friends was lovely. unfortunately ours wasn’t although it was located in the same house. that dampened our mood a bit, but after all we spent most of the time outdoors anyway….
so idyllisch, oder? aber ihr kennt uns vermutlich lange genug, um zu wissen, dass zuviel ruhe und beschaulichkeit auf dauer doch nichts für uns ist. wir sind die, die dann einfach hummeln im hintern bekommen… also sind wir natürlich zu ein paar toskanischen städtetrips aufgebrochen. dazu später mehr… ;)
so idyllic, don’t you think? but maybe you know us long enough by now to suspect that too much rest and tranquility is not our kind of vacation. we are the ones that get ants in their pants… so we surely started off to some tuscany city trips. more about this later… ;)
